Another day of walking,
Met up with Chris,a lady pilgrim yesterday, just glad those are not my feet but hers. if I can pass on any advise, buy boots/shoes that are at least one size too big from your  normal size as your feet grow and swell on these walks, thats why people suffer so much, their shoes are too small for this kind of strain. Im a 9.5 shoes, and I walk on size 11s
anyway, left late today, at 7 am, as it was a short 20 km day and all flat.
Walked to the first town of Poblacion de Campos and had breakfast, then stopped at each town along the way as I didn't want to get here too early. Filled my time with potato tortillas and maybe a beer.
Good morning from Fromista

Coming into the town of Villacazar de Sirga and the Iglasia de Nuestra Senora de LA Virgen Blanca church. This church was built in the 12 the century, and later extended by the Nights Templars. Miracles are said to have taken place here under the statue of the virgin Mary, during the middle ages.

Iilost my sun hat, so need to buy a new one in this town before tomorrows leg. I purchased some bunion plasters, with the hole in the middle,to protect my bad toe ,as it's the only real ailment I have, Turns out, they don't work worth a damn.
Arrived in Carrion de Los Condes, and found a nice Albergue in the local monestry, good beds for a change and quiet. Going to write this blog, then go for a walk in town, see if I can find some sunblock and a sandwich to eat for late lunch..27 km tomorrow, starting with that 17.5 km stretch of no shade or water. Plan to be walking by 5.30am

Coming into Carrion, and looking towards the flat terrain that is the Tierra de Campos, our challenge for tomorrow.
Hot, long and tiring, but only as bad as you make it in your mind, I ended up really enjoying this stretch, and I think it was due to my attitude, which is the key to a good life anyway.
