Woke up today 30 times, couldn't get to sleep really, so got on the road and headed west.

Its a cold and windy morning with limited visibility but there is the mysterious energy in the air.the mist is low and the whole valley is shrouded in this  ethereal gloom, but it  feels good for some reason., Feels good with this chill, and the wind is actually whistling through the fence posts.

I put Leonard's raincoat on, this dumbass doesn't have one of his own if you remember. Anyway, I just loved  today, I tried to slow it down, but in this weather and my mood drove me along like a banshee.

Speedy did arrive late yesterday, but I lost her today in the mist, when coming into Burgos,  its a zoo here on the city outskirts.  The Camino gives and takes. I'm sure I'll see her again on trail somewhere,because she wants to finish the same day as I do.

After only 5 km I came into the tiny village of Ages, found an open cafe and had a potato omelette and a cup of coffee. Sitting there, I got my book out and figured I have covered 11 stages in 8 days, so I have 3 days in hand if I need them.

I climbed a hill early and came to a huge obscure cross at the top, shrouded in the mist, I asked someone to take a photo of me at the cross, and I moved on. Now I see they didn't push the button,  camino says dont get angry, or call the dumbass a dumbass,there is a lesson here.

Met some  friends below in the valley along the way, Sheep buy the hundreds, camino says ,don't say anything derogatory about New  Zealanders or Scotsmen.

                                     Really girls , do I smell that bad?

I forgot to insert my Buen Camino sign into my blog yesterday, I only had one in reserve so I thought that was OK, then I said NO, dont get lazy,  I set the challenge for myself to do one a day,so I just inserted the one I had. Then I asked the Camino to give me another one, I'm just having so much fun learning to ask for what I want, instead of driving myself crazy.

Well, what do you know, there was my Buen camino for this day , about 100 meters down the past in someones driveway, the best one yet.

This was written on the cross  that I DIDNT GET A PICTURE OF, because the NICE PEOPLE  didn't press the button. I though it relevnt.

Flowers out in the middle of nowhere,

Ay yay yay, I'm in a tapas bar having a beer ,just across from the Albergue,  doing my blog as they have internet, guess who just walked into the same bar, speedy,  this girl has GPS.

The Cathedral here in Burgos is spectacular, got to take a shower and go inside later today.

Tomorrow is a 30 km day, first part getting out of this  city of 1 million people, that bit always sucks as its pavement and traffic. Tomorrow its back to villages and small Albergues
