Ohhh, felt sore this morning, my legs feel like lead and my shoulders are sore. Oh well, not too far today, but I do begin the climb into the mountains again, as I go over at 1300 meters in two days.
Leaving early this morning, I walked past the Castillo de los Templarios, the Templars castle.

I have always been aware of the Nights Templars, as they supposedly went on a crusade to Jerusalem to protect the Holy Grail and the Arc of the Covenant from invaders, they then hid the relics under the Temple Mount, before stealing them away to England, up to Scotland and over to Ireland where the last documented sighting of the Holy Grail was recorded. From here they supposedly sailed to Nova Scotia and hid the artifacts somewhere safe, possibly on Oak Island.
What I didn't know, was the extent of their influence on history in this part of the world.
This castle is huge and worth a visit ,even if they did remove the interior and build a soccer pitch in there.
Today's walk was bland to begin with, but got prettier the further up we climbed. We are in the wine growning region of Leon province now, tomorrow I cross into the province of Galicia, just as I crest the mountains, and soon there will be Octopus meals everywhere ( pulpo) , for about 2 dollars american.

I was thinking of pushing on a bit further, but I really do need to rest my legs and shoulders a little before the serious climb ahead. I have seen too many people in taxis who did not listen to their bodies. So I'm resting after 6 hours on the road. I'm in the convent/ cathedral tonight, in dormitories, quite nice, cheap, but being first in, which bed do I choose.?

tomorrow its of to LA Faba
